About This House

This room is intended for a single occupant. Pets, including dogs and cats, are not permitted. Parking is limited to street spaces, though a parking garage nearby offers monthly rentals. To avoid fraudulent activities, payments from individuals residing in other cities or states via cashier\'s checks or money orders will not be accepted. Only verifiable payment methods, such as PayPal, are permissible. While I prefer to meet potential tenants in person, I am open to applicants from out of state. Possessing a social media profile is a mandatory requirement.

Hello, I am Sam. I am offering a generously sized room for rent in the heart of Hollywood, with convenient access to all essential amenities and the Red Line Station. The apartment features two bedrooms and one shared bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom are common areas shared with others. The room includes a closet and windows fitted with drapes.

The monthly rent is currently set at $975. A security deposit of an equal amount is required upon move-in and will be refunded upon departure, provided a 30-day notice is given and no damage to the apartment has occurred. Any damages incurred will be the financial responsibility of the tenant who caused them, with repair costs deducted from the deposit if necessary.

Monthly utility bills include charges from The Gas Company and Spectrum Internet. The Department of Water and Power bill is issued every two months. All utility costs are divided equally three ways among myself, my roommate Amber, and the new tenant occupying the bedroom. Chores for the shared living spaces are rotated on a weekly basis between us.

I am seeking a relaxed and responsible individual who is quiet, employed, and not a heavy drinker, user of hard drugs, thief, criminal, or prone to violence or mental instability. The ideal candidate will have prior experience living with others and possess the ability to find compromise and communicate effectively and consistently in shared living situations.

I have resided in this apartment for more than a decade and consider it my home. I am a student at LACC, studying art and music technology, and I work part-time in data entry. My roommate, Amber, works from home for a UPS subsidiary. She is disabled and lives with MS. I am also disabled, managing extreme cluster headaches stemming from a condition known as New Daily Persistent Headache syndrome—essentially a constant headache. I disclose this for full transparency.

Additionally, I own a cat that primarily stays in my room. She is friendly but tends to be shy around new people, so she remains in her familiar spaces. If you have severe cat allergies or cannot tolerate a pet in a separate room, this listing may not be suitable for you.

My preference is to find a tenant committed to a long-term stay. Trust is a fundamental component of this arrangement; if trust cannot be established, cohabitation is not feasible. I value honesty, trustworthiness, consistency, punctuality with rent and bill payments, and respect for personal boundaries. I promise to uphold these same standards as a roommate.

If interested, texting is the preferred and fastest method to reach me, though phone calls are also acceptable. Emails are less reliable and may be overlooked. Prior to scheduling a home visit, I will request a social media profile for verification and background review. I plan to conduct showings of the space within the next week or so.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
