About This House

We are a professional couple working in the film and design industries, offering our fully furnished home in the Silver Lake hills for sublease. The available period is from December 16th through August 2026, with an option to extend. We are seeking a subtenant committed to a stay of six months or longer.

The Property

This is a two-story house situated on a 2,690-square-foot lot near the crest of a hill, on one of Silver Lake\'s historic stair streets. The location affords significant privacy and breathtaking views. The property includes two dedicated parking spaces within a gated driveway. Originally constructed in 1923, the home possesses distinctive character and unique charm.

The upper level features one bedroom, which we currently utilize as a combined office and guest room. This space is equipped with a desk and a versatile bed that converts from a twin to a king size. Also on this floor are a full bathroom, a recently renovated kitchen complete with a dishwasher and Bertazzoni range, a living room with vaulted ceilings, and an additional sunlit nook perfect for an office. We have established two separate workstations, each with an external monitor.

The downstairs area houses the master bedroom and a second, newly remodeled full bathroom. A washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. Outdoors, you will find multiple tiers of balconies and freshly refinished decks. The home\'s exterior has also been recently repainted.

The neighborhood is highly walkable, with the Silver Lake Reservoir, Whole Foods, Silverlake Wine, and a variety of local establishments—including coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and the Glendale Avenue library—all within easy walking distance.

Terms & Considerations

We have priced this sublease below the standard market rate for the area, hoping to find a responsible and easy-going individual who will care for the home as their own and maintain our plants. The monthly rent is $3,950, which covers all utilities and internet service. An additional $200 fee for a professional cleaning service upon move-out will apply.

We will provide a formal sublet agreement. Payment of the first month\'s rent and a security deposit of $2,500 is required upfront. We cannot accommodate pets. Please note there is a flight of stairs between the driveway and the house, and the interior layout may not be suitable for very young children.
