Position Overview – Temporary Assignment
We are looking for a Temporary Office Clerk to assist with the day-to-day functions at our cold storage operation. This position focuses on providing superior client support, handling and authorizing customer orders, and ensuring effective information flow among clients, warehouse personnel, and leadership. The successful applicant will be systematic, meticulous, and able to thrive in a dynamic, climate-controlled logistics setting.
Primary Duties
- Client Support & Interaction
- Deliver exceptional client assistance via telephone, electronic mail, and face-to-face.
- Establish and nurture constructive connections with clients, transportation providers, and suppliers.
- Address questions swiftly and competently, guaranteeing precise details and prompt problem-solving.
- Relay any client issues, holdups, or specific instructions to managers.
- Order & Correspondence Handling
- Oversee and process incoming electronic messages during business hours.
- Correctly authorize client orders and transfers without delay.
- Input client release orders into the warehouse management software.
- Verify completed shipments and revise order documentation following collections.
- General Office Tasks
- Answer telephone calls politely and route them appropriately.
- Sort and manage paperwork, shipping documents, and other files.
- Keep office materials stocked and ensure machinery is operational.
- Offer broad administrative aid to leadership and warehouse colleagues.
- Warehouse Support
- Register truck operators at the dispatch and intake station.
- Confirm purchase order details and schedule timings for collections or deliveries.
- Liaise with warehouse employees concerning stock levels, arriving goods, and special client directions.
- Ensure precision in paperwork for both incoming and outgoing consignments.
- Teamwork & Updates
- Inform managers about ongoing problems, deviations, or unique client requirements.
- Promote efficient daily warehouse activities through transparent dialogue and thorough follow-through.
Requirements
- Education & Background
- A high school diploma is necessary.
- Previous exposure to cold storage, logistics, distribution, or warehousing is advantageous.
- Abilities & Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal and client relations capabilities.
- Familiarity with computer applications and warehouse management platforms.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a busy setting.
- Keen eye for detail and solid organizational talents.

Working Conditions
The office is situated inside a refrigerated storage complex, with intermittent time spent in cooled zones. The atmosphere is brisk and demands regular interaction between the administrative and warehouse groups.
