Position Overview

The Golf Pro Shop Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of the golf shop. This role focuses on providing superior customer service, managing merchandise effectively, and ensuring seamless coordination of golf-related activities. Key duties include handling retail sales, controlling inventory, supervising personnel, and working closely with golf course operations to guarantee a premium experience for all members and visitors. The manager fosters a professional and hospitable environment, advocates for the facility\'s programs and products, and assists senior leadership in executing business plans aimed at increasing revenue and strengthening the club\'s standing.

Primary Duties

• Oversee and instruct pro shop employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Direct all retail functions, which encompass merchandising, buying, setting prices, and managing inventory.
• Work with golf operations personnel to schedule tee times, register participants for tournaments, and organize member events.
• Maintain a tidy, orderly, and attractive pro shop with well-presented displays.
• Consistently adhere to and enforce all club policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
• Process all customer transactions with precision and efficiency.
• Address and resolve customer issues or complaints swiftly and with professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• Substantial experience in retail management, ideally within a golf or hospitality setting.
• Familiarity with golf merchandise, equipment, and clothing.
• Superior skills in interpersonal communication, organization, and verbal/written communication.
• Capacity to guide and inspire a team within a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds from below waist level.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from above waist level.
