Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for directing daily activities within the warehouse, distribution, and logistics departments. This position ensures the smooth movement of products, maintains precise inventory levels, upholds quality benchmarks, and promotes a secure workplace. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this individual manages a team dedicated to achieving high productivity, collaborative effort, and superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse and Logistics Management: Provide direct supervision to warehouse supervisors, leads, and operational personnel. Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as delivery timeliness, order precision, cost-effectiveness, and safety metrics. Guarantee efficient procedures for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Organize daily tasks and staffing requirements to fulfill order deadlines and service objectives. Manage carrier scheduling, route planning, and transportation logistics. Optimize warehouse layout and equipment for maximum productivity and safety.
  • Inventory and Quality Control: Achieve and sustain high levels of inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counts and procedural safeguards. Minimize product damage, waste, and loss. Ensure adherence to food industry regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, allergen controls, and product traceability. Work in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team on product holds, recalls, and corrective measures.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and applicable food industry standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or general operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of distribution environments, with a preference for backgrounds in the food or consumer packaged goods sector.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding teams in a rapid-paced operational setting.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and generating operational reports.
  • Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Compensation and Location

  • Annual Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000, contingent upon relevant experience.
  • City: Vernon, CA.
