Independent Contractor Delivery Driver Using Your Own Small 4-Cylinder Pickup Truck in Hawthorne

About This Job

We are presently seeking a delivery driver to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor (IC). Please note this is not a W2 employee role. Review the following information concerning job requirements and pay structure.

Position Details

• Role: 1099 Independent Contractor Driver.
• Route: Deliver truck parts to customers within the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
• Daily Base Location: Operations begin and end in Hawthorne, Zip Code 90250.
• Vehicle Requirement: You must provide your own small, four-cylinder pickup truck. Examples include models like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, or Ford Ranger. A four-cylinder Ford Transit may also be considered.

Sport utility vehicles and small compact cars are not acceptable for this position.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: $200 per day. Payments are settled and distributed every two weeks.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Most weekends are off, with one Saturday shift required per month. Part-time work is not available.

Qualifications

• A valid California Driver\'s License is mandatory; out-of-state licenses are not accepted.
• At least seven years of licensed driving experience.
• Ownership of an open-bed pickup truck, restricted to four-cylinder or hybrid models only.
• Previous delivery experience on established, supervised routes.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing 50 to 75 pounds for short distances.
