WEEKEND position open. Starting wage is $16.50 per hour. Hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Cashier and Vehicle Registration Clerk to become part of our smog inspection facility. The perfect applicant will manage daily customer payments, complete DMV registration renewals and title transfers, and help ensure efficient front-office activities.

Primary Duties

• Welcome customers, deliver high-quality service, and manage all front-counter communications.
• Accept payments for smog inspections, DMV renewals, and associated services, including cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Finalize DMV registration renewals, title transfers, and distribute new stickers or license plates using approved registration software.
• Confirm vehicle and customer details for precision before sending DMV submissions.
• Keep an accurate cash drawer, balance payments at shift end, and compile daily sales summaries.
• Respond to telephone inquiries, book appointments, and offer details about station offerings.
• Sustain orderly records of transactions, receipts, and registration documents.
• Guarantee adherence to all DMV and state rules.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and inviting front desk and customer waiting space.
• Help with general clerical or administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a cashier, DMV clerk, or in a customer support position is desirable.
• Knowledge of DMV registration software or readiness to undergo training.
• High level of care and precision when managing money and paperwork.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer care abilities.
• Fundamental computer proficiency, including typing, data entry, and point-of-sale systems.
• Must be trustworthy, on time, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
