Position Overview
The Golf Pro Shop Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of the golf shop, guaranteeing top-tier customer service, effective merchandising, and seamless coordination of golf-related activities. This position involves managing retail sales, inventory, staff supervision, and working closely with golf course operations to ensure members and guests receive a premium experience. The Manager fosters a professional and inviting environment, promotes club programs and products, and assists leadership in executing strategies that increase revenue and strengthen the club\'s standing.
Primary Duties
- Oversee and train pro shop personnel to deliver excellent customer service.
- Handle all retail functions, including merchandising, buying, pricing, and inventory management.
- Work with golf operations staff to coordinate tee times, tournament sign-ups, and member events.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and attractive pro shop with well-presented displays.
- Consistently adhere to and enforce club policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Process all customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Address and resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- Substantial experience in retail management, ideally within golf or hospitality.
- Familiarity with golf merchandise, equipment, and apparel.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Capacity to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds below waist level.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds above waist level.
