Malsam Tsang Structural Engineering, a dynamic mid-sized firm specializing in structural consulting, is looking to hire full-time Structural Engineers for its expanding Santa Monica operations. Our expertise lies in designing single-family homes, townhouses, multi-unit residential buildings, mixed-use developments, and commercial structures. Our Santa Monica location features a bright, open-plan studio that fosters teamwork and is conveniently located near public transportation, the Santa Monica Pier, and numerous dining options. We also maintain offices in Seattle and Spokane and will consider applicants interested in those cities.

Desired Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Engineering, is mandatory.
• Experience: At least one year of pertinent design experience is ideal; however, new graduates with robust technical abilities and eagerness to learn are also welcome.
• Knowledge: Understanding of applicable building codes and fundamental structural design concepts.
• Licensure: Possession of an EIT, PE, or SE certification is beneficial.
• Mindset: Enthusiasm for the engineering field, an inquisitive nature, and a dedication to collaborative problem-solving.
• Work Authorization: Candidates must have existing full-time work authorization for the United States. Malsam Tsang is not able to offer visa sponsorship currently.

Compensation

The base annual salary range, which is contingent on experience and qualifications, falls between $75,000 and $125,000 (approximately $36 to $60 per hour).
