Overview of the Role:

The Payroll Assistant will contribute to the accurate and punctual execution of payroll through the Paychex platform. This position involves inputting payroll information, addressing inquiries related to payroll, aiding in compliance and reporting duties, and acting as a liaison connecting staff with payroll services.

Primary Duties:

• Accurately input data concerning hours, wages, deductions, and benefit modifications into the Paychex system.
• Execute payroll cycles and support the payroll processing procedure under the direction of the HR Manager.
• Respond to and settle payroll inquiries from employees and departmental supervisors.
• Generate and disseminate payroll reports; assist with account reconciliations and audit preparations.
• Support the administration of wage garnishments, tax withholdings, and benefit-related deductions.
• Uphold the confidentiality and proper organization of payroll records and information.
• Remain current with payroll procedures, critical deadlines, and statutory obligations.
• Work in cooperation with other departments, including Human Resources and Finance, as well as external partners.
• Provide assistance on specific payroll initiatives, year-end procedures, and compliance-related assignments.
