Full Charge Bookkeeper (Los Angeles)

Meridian Design Build is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of a full charge bookkeeper. This position entails managing fundamental accounting operations for the company. Responsibilities will include processing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, making General Ledger entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting financial reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Oversee daily accounting tasks encompassing general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Execute monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts, alongside daily audits of store sales.
  • Prepare general journal entries and perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Record account receipts from multiple channels, including credit card processors, checks, and cash.
  • Assist in preparing various tax reporting documents as required.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve any accounting discrepancies.
  • Provide support for additional duties as necessary, such as answering telephone calls.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years of recent, hands-on experience performing full-charge bookkeeper functions.
  • Prior experience using QuickBooks is an essential requirement.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to adhere to and follow provided instructions accurately.
