An established wholesale company based in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to work both in-house and on a hybrid schedule. The position requires availability any weekday from Monday through Friday, with one day per week needed on-site. Weekends are not required. With over forty years in business, the company offers free parking and is located just half a block from all public transportation.

Proficiency in Tagalog is considered an advantage.

Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting. Background in the textile or garment industry is preferred. The role requires strong multitasking abilities and a thorough understanding of QuickBooks.

Qualifications and Duties Include:

  • QuickBooks proficiency
  • Accounts Payable: Preparing and tracking expenses
  • Preparing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
  • Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis, including preparation of closures for the CPA
  • Coordinating with our CPA for tax filing purposes

The position reports directly to the company owner. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse staff are highly valued. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a self-starter, and capable of prioritizing tasks, multitasking, problem-solving, and making sound administrative decisions in line with company policies and practices.

Free parking is available, and the location is across the street from all public transit.
