Voda Spa is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated prep cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients and dishes according to the chef\'s precise standards, as well as organizing and maintaining their assigned workstation. This role involves supporting the executive chef with daily operations and is crucial to achieving our objectives for customer satisfaction and business growth.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize and supply workstations with all required items.
- Execute food preparation tasks, such as cutting vegetables, processing meats, and making sauces.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to cook and assemble menu items.
- Listen to, acknowledge, and carry out instructions from the executive chef.
- Clean the assigned station and manage any surplus food properly.
- Monitor and restock inventory as needed.
- Ensure dishes are completed concurrently, maintaining high quality and timely service.
- Adhere to all health, sanitation, safety, and nutritional guidelines.
- Interact with both team members and guests in a constructive and professional manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a kitchen environment, such as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook role.
- Strong knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen tools, and standard procedures.
- Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
- Awareness of current industry standards and best practices.
- Valid ServSafe certification.
Employment Type: Full-time position
Hourly Pay Range: $19.65 to $22
