JOB TITLE: Housekeeper / Laundry Attendant / Public Area Cleaner (Part-Time, Non-Exempt Position)

CURRENT VACANCIES: Both part-time and full-time roles are available. This is non-negotiable.

HOURLY WAGE: $18.00 per hour.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To assist the management team in delivering superior service to our guests. This role is responsible for maintaining all areas of the hotel to a high standard of cleanliness and safety in a professional manner, while upholding established visual and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Prioritize the guest experience by demonstrating professional courtesy.
  • Collaborate and coordinate tasks with other hotel departments, such as the front desk and maintenance.
  • Perform multiple operational functions effectively, including Guest Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant, and Public Area Housekeeping duties.
  • As a Guest Room Attendant: Make beds, dust, mop, vacuum, replenish amenities, linens, and towels, and clean bathrooms. Stock, maintain, and transport housekeeping carts daily. Dispose of trash and recyclables. Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously. All cleaning must meet company and brand standards.
  • As a Laundry Attendant: Collect, wash, dry, fold, and stock all hotel linens for use by staff. Respond to guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • As a Public Area Cleaner: Dust, mop, vacuum, replenish amenities, and clean all hotel common areas. This includes staff rooms, storage and utility areas, and public spaces such as the parking lot, hallways, walkways, staircases, and lobby.
  • Foster an environment where all guests and employees are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all brand standards and protocols.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Display a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with hotel guests, staff, and external vendors.
  • Be self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to remain calm and manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Ability to read and identify room numbers and housekeeping schedules.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or professional cleaning is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain active (bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling) and mobile throughout the entire work shift, typically lasting 6 to 8 hours.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays, with a flexible schedule. Part-time staff may have the option to pick up additional available shifts.
  • Must be able to lift and move small to medium items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper safety techniques. Must be capable of pushing or pulling loads up to 200 pounds with appropriate safety measures.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

SUPERVISOR: Reports directly to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
