Available Role:

Kitchen Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities)

Location: Katsu Nuna – Torrance, CA

Remuneration: An hourly wage beginning at $17, supplemented by tips (commensurate with experience), and complimentary meals during shifts.

Primary Duties:

• Support the preparation and cooking of katsu, accompaniments, and other dishes in line with established guidelines.
• Execute daily preparatory tasks, including vegetable chopping, sauce preparation, and workstation setup.
• Handle the battering, breading, and frying processes for katsu and other fried items.
• Ensure the kitchen and preparation zones remain clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as required.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with fellow kitchen team members and supervisors.
• Help with inventory restocking and receiving supply deliveries.

Necessary Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or culinary experience is beneficial but not mandatory; we welcome applicants at an entry level.
• An interest in or familiarity with Korean or Japanese food culture is advantageous.
• Capable of working efficiently, maintaining cleanliness, and staying organized.
• Dependable, punctual, and a cooperative team member.
• Physically able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for prolonged durations.
• Availability to work during evening hours and on weekends.
• Must possess legal authorization for employment within the United States.
