MACHINE OPERATORS REQUIRED

Location: Montebello CA

Shift: 1st (4am-3pm) & 2nd (3pm-1am)

Compensation Based on Experience: $20-$22 per hour

Position Overview

Our company is looking for a proficient and meticulous Grinding Technician or Machine Operator to become a member of our production staff. The perfect applicant will possess a background in running precision grinding equipment and a comprehension of machining with close tolerances.

Primary Duties

• Prepare and run precision grinding machines, such as surface, rotary, and abrasive belt grinders.
• Execute precision grinding on metals and additional materials to meet designated tolerance levels.
• Examine completed components utilizing micrometers, calipers, and other precise measuring devices.
• Service, calibrate, and diagnose issues with grinding equipment to maintain peak operational condition.
• Comprehend and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical diagrams.
• Handle assorted materials and finishes in alignment with job requirements.
• Keep the workspace tidy and orderly while adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Support equipment upgrades, new configurations, and enhancements to processes.

Required Qualifications

• Prior involvement in precision grinding, machining, or a similar manufacturing field is desirable.
• Familiarity with rotary, surface, and belt grinding machinery.
• Capability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications demanding tight tolerances.
• Excellent focus on details and a dedication to producing quality work.
• Fundamental mathematics and measurement abilities.
• Mechanical competence and knowledge of workshop tools and maintenance practices.
• Dependable, safety-aware, and able to perform tasks autonomously or collaboratively within a team.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capacity to remain standing for prolonged durations and carry out repetitive movements.
• Ability to work in a plant setting with potential exposure to noise, dust, and operating machinery.
