Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a Live-In Caregiver to become part of our team for three to four days each week. The perfect candidate will offer direct care, oversight, and help with everyday tasks for our senior residents. Please note, this is not a one-on-one caregiving role; you will be collaborating with another caregiver at a six-bed residential care home located in Claremont, California.

Primary Duties:

• Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals.
• Ensure the home remains tidy and well-organized.
• Provide friendship and emotional encouragement.
• Help residents with movement and safety requirements.
• Adhere to personalized care plans and inform the supervisor of any changes in a resident’s status.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Aid with medication reminders and related record-keeping (training will be supplied).
• Maintain a clean, secure, and pleasant living environment.
• Encourage participation in social and leisure activities.
• Comply with all RCFE care guidelines and regulatory standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RCFE caregiving experience is advantageous.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification, or readiness to acquire it.
• Health screening and TB test, or willingness to complete them.
• Fingerprint clearance (Live Scan) via Community Care Licensing.
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
• Caring, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Must be able to reside on-site and adapt to a flexible schedule as required. Open availability is essential.
