A small personal injury law practice is currently looking to hire a clerical secretary. Prior experience is advantageous, though not mandatory, as the firm is prepared to provide training for a suitable applicant. The ideal candidate will be dependable and conscientious. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential. A cooperative and team-oriented attitude is required.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Managing a multi-line telephone system.
  • Accurately recording messages and directing calls.
  • Handling both incoming and outgoing postal correspondence.
  • Performing data entry tasks.
  • Drafting and preparing various documents, letters, and forms.
  • Offering administrative assistance to senior paralegal staff.
  • Operating copy, scan, fax, and email systems.
  • Maintaining organized filing systems.
  • Completing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications for the position:

  • Mandatory bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with standard business English, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules.
  • Competence with standard office technology, including computers, word processing software, fax machines, and scanners.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Must be a non-smoker.
