A small personal injury law practice is currently looking to hire a clerical secretary. Prior experience is advantageous, though not mandatory, as the firm is prepared to provide training for a suitable applicant. The ideal candidate will be dependable and conscientious. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential. A cooperative and team-oriented attitude is required.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Managing a multi-line telephone system.
- Accurately recording messages and directing calls.
- Handling both incoming and outgoing postal correspondence.
- Performing data entry tasks.
- Drafting and preparing various documents, letters, and forms.
- Offering administrative assistance to senior paralegal staff.
- Operating copy, scan, fax, and email systems.
- Maintaining organized filing systems.
- Completing additional duties as needed.
Qualifications for the position:
- Mandatory bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with standard business English, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules.
- Competence with standard office technology, including computers, word processing software, fax machines, and scanners.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Must be a non-smoker.
