Hourly, Part-Time Criminal Defense Attorney (DTLA / San Gabriel Valley / Inland Empire)

Part-time criminal defense associate needed for hourly work with a well-established private firm with over three decades of experience. The lead attorney will provide comprehensive mentorship. The role involves court appearances primarily in Downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley, with occasional assignments in the Inland Empire.

Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory. A genuine interest in criminal law is essential. Excellent written communication skills are crucial for client correspondence and email communication with the supervising attorney.

Mileage, parking, and other work-related expenses will be reimbursed. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an individual building their own legal practice or seeking valuable experience for a future transition into a government role, such as a prosecutor or public defender.

Multiple former associates from this firm have successfully secured public sector positions, including two who are now serving as judges within Los Angeles County. This is not a high-volume practice. You will receive clear guidance and support to enable you to perform at your highest level.
