A plaintiff-side employment and litigation law firm is seeking to hire an Associate Attorney. The position is open to part-time or full-time candidates, with a preference for bilingual Spanish speakers, though this is not a strict requirement. We are in search of a skilled litigator and future trial lawyer with strong analytical and writing abilities, who is dedicated to advocating for others. While the firm operates fully remotely, occasional in-person appearances in California, particularly the Los Angeles area, may be necessary.
Position Details
Job Title: California Licensed Attorney (Remote)
Experience Level: 0 to 3 years
Work Environment: Fully remote
Location: Candidates must be available for occasional travel to courts, client meetings, and depositions as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cases from initiation to conclusion under the supervision of a senior attorney.
- Conduct meetings with clients, witnesses, administrative agencies, and opposing counsel, primarily through virtual means.
- Prepare, draft, and file legal documents including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
- Perform legal research and analysis.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend mediations and make court appearances.
- Draft motions.
- Assist with trial preparation and support during trial proceedings.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
- A strong dedication to employee rights and a desire to learn comprehensive case management.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining effective communication with the team.
