Position Overview
In the role of Senior Associate Trial Attorney, you will serve as a vital contributor to our trial group, managing intricate litigation matters from initial assessment through to final judgment. This position is designed for a proactive attorney who excels in court and is passionate about crafting effective legal approaches to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
Primary Duties
- Oversee all stages of litigation, from early evaluation to trial and settlement.
- Formulate detailed case plans and ensure their implementation.
- Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and manage court proceedings.
- Prepare and reply to legal pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and trial briefs.
- Sustain regular contact with clients, associated counsel, and opposing parties.
- Direct settlement discussions and engage in mediation and arbitration sessions.
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury, insurance defense, or business litigation.
- Substantial trial background, including experience as first-chair in jury trials is highly desirable.
- Excellent abilities in legal research, analysis, and writing.
- Superior organizational skills, self-sufficiency, and a meticulous approach.
- Current and active membership in the California State Bar with good standing.
