Shipping Associate (Santa Fe Springs, CA)

We are currently seeking a Shipping Associate to join our team at the Santa Fe Springs facility. This is a full-time role operating during standard business hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

A 90-day probationary period is required for this position. Following successful completion of this period, a performance evaluation will be conducted. Based on the results of this review, the employee may be moved to permanent full-time status.

Role Overview

The Shipping Associate manages the daily order fulfillment activities within the shipping department. This role involves coordination with sales, billing, and management staff to ensure client orders are processed and dispatched in a timely manner.

The successful applicant will be diligent, reliable, and principled in all work activities. Required qualifications include one to three years of prior experience in a warehouse setting, a valid or previous forklift certification, the ability to lift 65 pounds, and strict adherence to Cal/OSHA safety regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble and package orders according to company specifications.
• Report inventory and material requirements to the Supervisor.
• Notify the sales team of any backorder situations as necessary.
• Monitor packing material stock levels and proactively arrange for replenishment.
• Uphold a safe and orderly workspace by following established procedures and regulations.
• Help with the loading and unloading of equipment returned for service.
• Complete all necessary documentation and forms.
• Support the unloading of incoming shipments when the Foreman or Inventory Lead is not present.
• Perform a daily morning inspection of the forklift.
• Aid in verifying will-call orders as requested.
• Strive to eliminate errors in the shipping process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Good physical condition, strength, and coordination.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Professional references are required.
