About the Position
We are looking for a creative, well-organized, and purpose-oriented Social Media Manager to spearhead our online presence and facilitate the onboarding process for a wide array of individuals and groups. This position is perfect for a candidate who excels in fast-paced settings, possesses a deep understanding of digital networks, and can foster and sustain valuable connections throughout our community.
The Social Media Manager will be tasked with crafting social media plans, overseeing content schedules, managing daily publications, and assisting influencers, collaborators, and community participants through our onboarding and content distribution procedures.
Primary Duties
Social Media Strategy & Management
- Formulate and implement detailed social media plans for various platforms such as Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Develop and maintain content calendars that support organizational objectives.
- Generate or oversee the production of compelling content, including posts, images, brief videos, and stories.
- Observe social media trends and audience feedback to enhance interaction.
- Oversee social listening and engage appropriately with the community.
Onboarding & Partner Coordination
- Design and manage onboarding processes for individuals, organizations, activists, and content creators.
- Offer direction and assistance to new collaborators regarding messaging, content guidelines, and publishing systems.
- Act as the primary coordinator for post scheduling, approval processes, and joint campaign initiatives.
- Keep well-ordered records of partners and influencers while monitoring their involvement.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor performance indicators and compile monthly analytical summaries.
- Pinpoint opportunities for expansion and suggest strategic enhancements.
- Uphold uniform branding and communication across all outlets.
Required Skills & Experience
- Exceptional writing and editorial abilities.
- Knowledge of social media management platforms and analytics software.
- Capability to coordinate numerous partners and handle intricate operational processes.
- Previous experience in onboarding participants or administering digital communities is advantageous.
- Proficiency in graphic design or elementary video editing is beneficial.
- A strong interest in human rights, democratic processes, technology, or social advocacy is very welcome.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- Meticulous and systematic approach to tasks.
- Inventive mindset with a talent for captivating content.
- Self-sufficient and adaptable to a rapidly changing setting.
