Position: Action Photographer

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Photographer to become a member of our national dance competition tour crew. If you are passionate about freezing moments in time, enjoy working with children, and can manage extended, high-energy weekends, this position is an ideal match for you.

Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle event equipment (must be able to lift 20 pounds)
• Take high-caliber photographs of dancers during live performances
• Communicate inventory and supply requirements to the Event Director
• Keep the work area neat and orderly
• Travel is necessary (from Thursday evening until Monday morning)
• Be a constructive, collaborative team member who follows instructions effectively

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating professional photography equipment (examples include Nikon D5, Canon 5D, 70–200mm Nikkor or L-series lenses)
• Solid grasp of exposure, white balance, and composition
• Background in action or live event photography is advantageous
• Must be orderly, reliable, and at ease managing cash and credit card payments
• Capable of working extended hours (typically 25–40 hours per weekend)
• Must have availability to travel from Thursday through Monday
• A valid government-issued identification card or passport is mandatory

Compensation

Pay is dependent on experience and ranges from $200 to $1000 per event. The season commences in February 2026.
