Seeking Youth Sports Photographer

Bellamani Photography is currently seeking new team members to join our youth sports photography division. We are expanding our services throughout Southern California for the upcoming youth sports season and preschool graduation events. Our company focuses on photographing youth sports leagues across the region, including organizations such as AYSO, YMCA, i9 Sports, and various community programs. We also document preschool graduations, helping families preserve lasting memories of these important milestones.
We are interested in meeting individuals who enjoy working with children, excel in dynamic settings, and are dedicated to producing high-quality, cheerful photographs.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
- Organizer – $150 per day (for shifts up to 6 hours)
- Team Photographer – $200 per day (for shifts up to 6 hours)
- Individual Photographer – $250 per day (for shifts up to 6 hours)
Overtime rates apply after 6 hours, ranging from $25 to $30 per hour based on the role.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Our team interacts directly with children, families, and coaches. We are looking for people who are:

ORGANIZER
Pay: $150 per day (up to 6 hours), then $20 per hour thereafter. Photography experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome families, coaches, and children in a warm and professional manner
- Set up and oversee the check-in area and product display
- Arrange teams by height and ensure uniform appearance
- Coordinate parent volunteers to assist with uniforms and minor adjustments
- Occasionally check in children by taking a reference photo using a company tablet before they proceed to photographers
- Communicate with photographers to keep the session on schedule
The Organizer plays a central role in ensuring photo days run smoothly, on time, and with a calm, professional atmosphere.
TEAM PHOTOGRAPHER
Pay: $200 per day (up to 6 hours), then $25 per hour thereafter.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange teams neatly and uniformly
- Efficiently capture clear, consistent team and group portraits
- Maintain a positive and encouraging demeanor when working with children and coaches
- Quickly adjust camera exposure, ISO, and flash settings for varying conditions
- Collaborate effectively with the Organizer and Lead Photographer
- Remain calm and professional during high-volume events
Required Knowledge & Equipment:
- Solid understanding of manual camera settings (exposure, white balance, flash synchronization)
- Comfortable working in both outdoor and indoor environments
- Ability to set up a 10\'x20\' backdrop independently when needed
Required Gear:
- Full-frame DSLR or Mirrorless camera (minimum 45MP)
- On-camera and off-camera flash (speedlight or strobes) with a reflector, umbrella, or softbox
- Zoom lens with hood (24–70mm range)

INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Pay: $250 per day (up to 6 hours), with overtime at $30 per hour thereafter.
Responsibilities:
- Capture attractive, consistent individual portraits of each child
- Provide direction, motivation, and support to team photographers as required
- Communicate professionally with league or school coordinators
- Manage image organization, exposure consistency, and backup processes
Required Knowledge & Equipment:
- Expertise in using both natural and artificial lighting
- Proficiency with on-camera and off-camera flash and strobes
- Ability to adapt lighting setups quickly to changing conditions
Required Gear:
- Full-frame DSLR or Mirrorless camera (minimum 45MP)
- Two professional lenses (preferably f/2.8, such as a 24–70mm)
- On-camera and off-camera flash equipment
- Off-camera strobes (200W or higher) with a softbox or umbrella
- Light stands, a reflector, and an optional tripod

- Must successfully pass a background check due to direct work with children
- Must have dependable transportation. While most assignments are in Santa Clarita, candidates must be willing to travel throughout Southern California
- Must be capable of safely lifting and carrying photography equipment

- Must have a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and families
