Looking to create a meaningful impact? Providing a temporary home for a dog is an incredibly fulfilling experience.

At Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue, we intervene to save dogs from shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia. We place them into caring foster homes where they can stay until they find their permanent families. We are currently seeking long-term foster caregivers for medium to large breed dogs, such as Brownie. Please be sure to include your contact phone number and email address when you respond.

BROWNIE

Meet Brownie, who we sometimes refer to as \"Chaucer\" in honor of the journey he is undertaking. He was discovered abandoned near the San Fernando Highway and arrived in our care requiring urgent medical attention, with signs suggesting he may have been used as a bait dog. Through dedicated love and care, he has recovered, is now in good health, and is prepared to flourish.

Brownie is exceptionally well-behaved in a home setting, great with children, and wonderful around people. Because of his history, it is essential that he be the only dog in the household.

He is a sweet and affectionate companion who enjoys walks, hikes, playing tug-of-war, and simply spending time by your side. He is a favorite among our foster network—a genuinely loyal and gentle dog who needs a secure, loving environment to continue his healing process.

Why Consider Fostering?

Our rescue operates entirely through a foster network, as we do not maintain a physical facility. This means we cannot rescue additional dogs without more foster homes.

We provide all necessary food, supplies, and medical care for the dog.

You provide a safe, loving home and help teach these dogs what it means to be truly cared for.

Please note this is not a traditional job, but it is a paid opportunity that offers compensation for your time, effort, and dedication.

FOSTER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have obtained full approval from your landlord, roommates, family, or other relevant parties.
• Must be available to attend adoption events and supply pickups at the Petco in West Hollywood every other Saturday.
• Must be able to transport the dog to and from veterinary appointments.
• Must commit to a minimum fostering period of 4 weeks. Short-term foster placements are also needed, as even a few days can help save a life.
