Dog-E-Den, a bustling dog care center situated on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, is seeking dependable dog handlers to become part of our team. The role involves supervising, tending to, and engaging in play with our canine clients. We are in search of enthusiastic animal lovers who are not afraid of hard work or getting a little messy. Candidates must be able to work on weekends and holidays, as these are our peak operational periods.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Handler Shifts:

• 4:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Overseeing group play sessions.
• Providing meals to dogs.
• Dispensing medications as required.
• Cleaning food and water bowls.
• Completing daily general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Remaining on your feet for shifts lasting up to eight hours.

While this is a rewarding position working with animals, staff should not expect to simply pet puppies all day. The environment involves barking, shedding fur, muddy paws, and considerable physical labor. For the appropriate individual, this role may evolve into a supervisory position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be at ease handling all breeds and sizes of dogs humanely.
• Must have a flexible schedule, including availability for evening shifts.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Must be prepared for constant physical activity and prolonged standing during the shift.
• Must work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, physical stamina, responsibility, honesty, patience, and punctuality.
• Excellent verbal communication, a sense of humor, and a positive attitude are essential.
