We are currently seeking a creative, environmentally conscious individual with a passion for vintage to join our team as the Shop Manager.
Overview
You will oversee daily operations, inspire the team, and ensure a consistently welcoming experience for all customers. This key position involves enhancing store performance, upholding visual presentation standards, and fostering a team culture that embodies the unique spirit and values of our neighborhood establishment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership on the sales floor, establishing a standard for outstanding customer service and positive team dynamics.
- Drive sales growth through effective coaching, team development, and comprehensive product knowledge.
- Uphold high visual merchandising standards consistent with our brand identity.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage stock, including replenishment and some ordering duties.
Contributing to Our Growth
- Plan special events and sales promotions.
- Develop organizational systems and processes.
- Suggest improvements for shop operations.
- Assist in expanding our online business presence.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of retail experience, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, coach, and hold a team accountable.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing key retail performance indicators.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the vintage and secondhand lifestyle.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible availability for 20 to 30 hours per week initially, including weekend shifts.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
