Position to Independently Run Pop-Up Shop That Caters to Kids (California (Mostly Southern California))
About This Job
I operate a small craft enterprise primarily serving children and require assistance with event management. This role involves meeting to collect merchandise, assembling the display tent, managing the booth throughout the event, and dismantling it afterward. You will be responsible for handling each event independently. Successful candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Reliable Transportation
You must possess your own dependable vehicle, as you will be responsible for transporting tables, the tent, and inventory to various locations. Events are held throughout Los Angeles, San Diego, and Santa Barbara. Gas expenses will be reimbursed.
2. Flexible Schedule
Most events occur from Thursday through Sunday. Setup can begin as early as 5:00 AM, and events may run until midnight. A typical shift lasts 8 to 10 hours, though duration may vary. We must also meet before events for inventory handoff; therefore, candidates residing in or near Burbank, Pasadena, or Glendale are preferred for logistical ease.
3. Punctuality and Dependability
Events are booked and paid for months in advance. Consistent punctuality and adherence to the agreed schedule are essential. Failure to arrive on time may result in our removal from the event, which is unacceptable.
4. Skill with Children
Our primary clientele consists of children and their families. You must exhibit patience and enjoy interacting with young customers and their guardians.
5. Trustworthiness
This business involves significant cash transactions, so integrity and reliability are paramount.
