IEH Laboratories, a prominent company in the food safety sector, is currently seeking candidates for the role of Laboratory Courier at its Fresno, California location.
Preferred qualifications for this role include:
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate degree in Biology or a similar discipline is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting is beneficial.
- Competence in data entry and using computer software.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic workplace.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in both written and spoken communication.
- Solid knowledge of aseptic laboratory procedures.
- Capacity to frequently lift items weighing up to 30 pounds to waist height.
- Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds to waist height.
- A valid United States driver\'s license and a clear driving history, which must include no at-fault accidents for at least the past five years. This record must satisfy ongoing motor vehicle risk standards, verified through continuous Motor Vehicle Record reviews.
Job Responsibilities
The individual in this role will be accountable for securely delivering customer samples to the laboratory according to a set route; sanitizing and maintaining transport coolers; preparing and conducting quality checks on various culture medias; processing samples; entering data and managing records; controlling inventory; and performing additional tasks as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $19.00 to $21.00. This is a full-time role eligible for a comprehensive benefits package after a short waiting period. Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The schedule is adaptable, with operations running Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:00 AM. Since the laboratory functions on weekends, candidates must be available to work occasional weekend shifts.
