Vigilant Eye Security is in search of a professional Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety of our premises, assets, and staff. The Armed Security Guard will maintain a highly visible presence to deter and prevent any unlawful or inappropriate activities. The core objective is to observe, detect, deter, and report.

Qualifications

• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid Exposed Firearms Permit.
• Chemical Weapons Certification.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must satisfy all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers and continue to meet them.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess both a BSIS guard card and an exposed firearm permit.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a reliable method of communication.
• Must be available to work a minimum of one weekend day per week.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess the ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be willing to undergo the company\'s pre-employment screening, which includes a drug test and background check.
• Knowledge of, or capacity to learn, security operations and standard procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be an effective team player with a courteous demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when facing unusual situations.
• Ability to adapt to changes within the organization and external environment.
• Ability to prepare routine correspondence, including detailed logs and reports.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Primary duties involve fostering a positive environment and delivering an excellent customer service experience. Furthermore, the ideal Security Officer will monitor and report on activities and incidents at their assigned client location, safeguarding client property and personnel, and performing regular patrols to identify any irregularities.

Additional duties for the Security Officer include:

1. Conducting scheduled patrols to inspect for irregularities and to examine protective devices and fire safety equipment.
2. Maintaining order and enforcing site-specific regulations concerning personnel, visitors, and the premises.
3. Managing access to the client site or facility through a controlled admittance process.
4. Patrolling the assigned area on foot or by vehicle; checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security breaches, blocked access points, mechanical issues, and unauthorized individuals.
5. Securing evidence or the scene in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
6. Responding to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, water discharge, elevator malfunctions, hazardous material spills, severe weather, and other critical events.
7. Completing necessary logs and reports as mandated.
8. Proficiency in using security applications such as TrackTik or Silvertrack is required.

Preferred Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Armed Security Guard Experience: 2+ Years (Preferred)
• Good Communication Skills and Customer Service Skills (Required)
• Proficiency with Security Apps such as TrackTik or Silvertrack (Required)
