Position Overview

theCoderSchool is seeking enthusiastic Code Coaches to instruct our future generation on how to make a difference. You will have the opportunity to interact with fantastic children, guide them in coding and computational thinking, and gain a rewarding experience.

This is a part-time role, with weekly hours ranging from 2 to 15, based on your schedule and availability. Shifts are consistent each week.

Typical hours fall between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays, and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays or Sundays.

Experience with Roblox Studio, Minecraft modding, Unity, or Robotics may qualify for a higher starting wage.

Primary Duties

You will provide instruction to students in one-on-one or one-on-two sessions, or through off-site programs at local community venues. Younger students typically learn using Scratch, while older students progress to more advanced platforms and typed languages. Students generally work on projects determined collaboratively with their coach.

Necessary Qualifications

• Coding Proficiency: Solid understanding of general technologies, competent coding ability, and strong logical reasoning. Familiarity with Python, Javascript, web development, and game development is highly beneficial. Exceptional depth of technical knowledge is not mandatory; we value strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve alongside students more than pre-existing expertise in all areas.
