IT Help Desk Technician at a High-Growth IT Startup
Cascade is a rapidly expanding managed service provider (MSP) delivering technology services across the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and other regions. We offer premium technical support to sophisticated clients within the Financial Services sector.
About the Role
We are seeking a new team member who can leverage both technical expertise and superior customer service abilities to delight our clients. This individual will have significant opportunities for rapid learning and career advancement, playing a crucial part in our company\'s expansion. This position is for a technician who is adept at providing on-site support to users in Los Angeles as well as remote assistance to users in various international locations. We are looking for someone with:
- Outstanding customer service skills, including clear communication, high reliability, and full ownership of issues through to resolution
- Demonstrable experience supporting macOS workstations (experience with PC is beneficial)
- A strong desire to develop both technical and interpersonal skills for career growth
- Character traits that reflect ownership and leadership
- Experience with ticketing system organization and maintenance
- The ability to be receptive and action-oriented when given constructive feedback
- A calm and focused approach during high-pressure situations
- Strong professional and technical communication skills, both written and verbal
- A minimum of 5 years of help desk experience
- At least moderate networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, VPN, teleworker connectivity issues)
- Experience with Jamf Pro or other mobile device management (MDM) platforms
- Optional experience supporting finance/accounting applications (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Axys)
- A basic understanding of bash and/or PowerShell scripting is advantageous
Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with clients to resolve advanced technical problems
- Providing technical support via phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions
- Contributing to challenging technical projects
- Participating in an on-call rotation schedule
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Maintaining internal infrastructure (e.g., Atlassian, SAML/SSO, VPNs, Linux System Administration, SSL Certificates)
