Highway Express LLC is actively recruiting seasoned owner-operators holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver\'s License for long-haul assignments. Successful candidates will be tasked with transporting a diverse array of freight, including household items, paper rolls, containers, and assorted pallets. Key duties involve properly securing cargo using locks and straps, conducting routine vehicle safety checks, mapping out efficient travel routes, adhering to strict delivery timelines, and maintaining precise logs of driving hours, distances, and related expenses. Strict adherence to all federal, state, and company driving regulations is mandatory.

Primary Duties

• Transport household goods, paper rolls, containers, and palletized freight, ensuring cargo is safely restrained.
• Execute pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Develop route plans and ensure timely deliveries.
• Accurately record work hours, rest periods, miles driven, and retain all fuel and toll receipts.
• Comply with all applicable trucking laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
• Safely position the truck for loading and unloading operations.
• Confirm and follow all delivery instructions and documentation.
• Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, or regulatory violations.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated previous experience as a professional truck driver.
• Practical familiarity with in-cab electronic systems and software such as GPS, Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) units, and CB radios.
• Willingness and ability to drive for extended periods and travel frequently.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant truck driving rules and regulations.
• Adaptability and sound judgment to manage unforeseen circumstances like traffic delays or adverse weather.
• A valid Class A CDL and a current medical examiner\'s certificate.

Compensation and Perks

• Solo drivers can expect gross weekly revenue between $5,000 and $9,000.
• Team drivers can anticipate gross weekly revenue ranging from $7,000 to $13,000.
• Annual pay potential is estimated between $300,000 and $500,000.
• Drivers are not subject to forced dispatch.
