Jaguar Design Studio operates as a dynamic event design firm collaborating with prominent technology companies in Silicon Valley. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented digital designer who possesses strong technical knowledge, an exceptional eye for precision, and the skill to guide projects from initial concept to final execution.
Position Details
This is a full-time role operating from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, Pacific Time. We are considering candidates located in Santa Cruz, Atascadero, or nearby regions such as San Luis Obispo County and Santa Maria.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design registration forms, microsites, email campaigns, and various digital materials.
- Create and improve existing design templates.
- Gain familiarity with our event platform to design effective registration user flows.
- Document and illustrate project specifications.
- Collaborate closely with internal developers and project managers to oversee project construction, testing, and final delivery.
- Attend client meetings to gather requirements and report on progress.
- Establish project timelines and ensure all key milestones are achieved.
- Update and modify content within content management systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in a multidisciplinary, digitally-focused team environment.
- Solid grasp of user interface and user experience principles and established best practices.
- Able to work effectively within established corporate design standards.
- Experience contributing to and maintaining design systems.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
- Capacity to handle several projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt swiftly to changing requirements.
- Ability to comprehend project briefs and integrate feedback.
- Superb communication abilities, including excellent verbal and written English.
- Proficiency in Figma or comparable digital design tools such as Adobe XD or Sketch.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, along with a working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with creating and refining motion graphics using applications like Adobe After Effects is advantageous.
- Experience using project management software such as Asana or Jira.
- Fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS, along with experience using content management systems.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Availability for domestic and international travel, approximately two to four weeks per year.
