ELDERLY CAREGIVER ASSISTANCE

I have extensive experience in elderly care. My father was seriously ill for many years before passing away at age 95. I provided around-the-clock care for him largely on my own during his final year. He had multiple health issues, including heart failure, kidney disease, COPD, arthritis, and dementia. I managed doctor appointments, medication, food preparation, and household and estate care primarily by myself, with only occasional hourly caregiver relief for errands. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the challenges in finding reliable caregiver support.

I also worked full-time as a Writer\'s Assistant, Personal Assistant, and Caregiver for a renowned pop culture writer whose work appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Beverly Hills Courier, Vanity Fair, and Town & Country. He resided in an assisted living facility in Santa Monica. During the Covid lockdown, the facility director expedited my credentials to allow me to work on-site. I initially met him when hired by his estate director to assist with downsizing and moving from his five-thousand-square-foot Brentwood home, which involved auctions, donations, multiple movers, and storage facilities. He recently passed away at St. John\'s Hospital in Santa Monica at the age of 93.
