ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

KEVIN DELANEY

New York City guitarist Kevin Delaney was born and raised in Long Island, NY, where he taught himself to read music and play guitar by age seven. He formed his first rock band with friends at twelve and released his first professional record by sixteen.

In his early teens, he studied classical guitar with Richie Cerniglia (Aviator/The Illusion) and applied theory with Al Pitrelli (Megadeth/Trans Siberian Orchestra/Alice Cooper) before beginning his own teaching career locally.

After high school, Kevin attended Five Towns Music College in Long Island, NY, mastering audio engineering. By twenty, he relocated to New York City, continuing to teach while founding his music production and management company, Manic Entertainment, and its record label, Manic Records, before moving to Los Angeles in 1998.

Since the early nineties, Kevin has written, performed, produced, and released records with a diverse array of global artists and labels, touring nationally extensively and building an impressive catalog. He recently released his new instrumental album \"Unusual Clarity\" on Manic Records, following his debut \"The Awakening.\"

In addition to his in-demand musicianship, Kevin has taught professionally since age sixteen and remains a highly sought-after instructor locally and internationally. In 2006, his \"Shred Like A Metal God\" Heavy Metal Workshop series visited 55 U.S. cities with over 5,000 attendees. To date, he has taught over 10,000 students worldwide.
