About This Service

Hello, my name is Lonzo, and I am an online mathematics tutor. With approximately five years of experience in both online and in-person instruction, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside. I am proficient and experienced in teaching the following subjects: Calculus 1, Business Calculus, Precalculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Algebra 2, Middle School Algebra, and all foundational levels below. Please note that I do not offer tutoring in Statistics, as I did not study this subject at the college level. I am based in Southern California and therefore provide my tutoring services exclusively online.

Service Pricing

What are my rates? The initial hour-long session is always complimentary for any math course. Following that, individual sessions are billed at $50 per hour. For group sessions, the rate is $20 per student per hour. I also provide monthly subscription plans at $55, $105, and $200 per month. Accepted methods of payment include PayPal, Zelle, Cash App, or direct payment through my website.

The Value of Online Tutoring

Is online math tutoring effective, and does it compare to in-person sessions? Absolutely. Online tutoring is a worthwhile investment and mirrors the experience of face-to-face instruction. The process involves screen sharing, where I will review your assignments or any selected material step-by-step. I can annotate directly on your screen or work through problems using my Zoom online whiteboard. If your schoolwork is not in a digital format, you can simply email or text images of the problems to me, and I will solve them step-by-step on the whiteboard, ensuring you see every part of the process.

What You Will Need

• A computer with a Wi-Fi connection.
• A microphone, which is typically built into modern computers.
• A valid email address to receive the Zoom meeting link. Please note, a Zoom account is not required.
• The motivation and drive to learn.

Please be aware that a webcam is not necessary for our sessions, as I respect your privacy.
