The Crazy-Cat Coach: Help for Your Challenging Cat (Beachwood Canyon)

About This Service

Do you have a cat that seems to come from a difficult place, or an exceptionally timid feline who struggles with unfamiliar people? Felines that are aggressive, high-strung, unusual, or easily frightened are all within my area of focus. I have yet to encounter a cat I didn\'t care for or couldn\'t eventually befriend.

I provide specialized behavioral guidance to assist you in improving the management of your household and the dynamics with or among your pets.

Coaching is available remotely and, when appropriate, through in-home sessions—or a combination of both. Pricing depends on individual circumstances. A standard virtual consultation by phone starts at $75. Follow-up sessions and package rates are offered, with the possibility of including an in-home visit and evaluation.

Services include:

• Assisting you in establishing trust with a shy or hiding cat, whether with yourself, friends, or new individuals.
• Helping to reduce your cat\'s stress and anxiety.
• Reducing conflict between cats.
• Facilitating introductions between cats, such as a new cat to a resident cat or bringing a new cat into the home.
• Introducing a cat to a new person or partner, or strengthening bonds with others.
• Addressing litter box problems, including inappropriate elimination.
• Helping a cat adapt to a new baby, ideally with preparation before the birth.
• Support during a move and helping cats adjust to a new home.
• Conducting additional research as required.

My Experience and Background

• Five seasons working on casting, interviewing, filming, and evaluating cats and their behaviors for Animal Planet\'s \"My Cat From Hell\" alongside Jackson Galaxy.
• Years of personal cat rescue involvement, including socializing feral kittens. I also care for an adult indoor feral cat and previously had another who passed away in 2023.
• Experience in helping clients build trust and relationships with shy or hiding cats and kittens, introducing or reintroducing cats, and improving harmony among cats.
• Eight years of cat-sitting experience with all types of personalities—including cats that initially remained hidden, those that alarmed guests, and those requiring particular routines to eat.
• One year volunteering on-site at a cat rescue, managing an average of 50 cats in a single room.
• One year serving as a board member for a local cat rescue organization.
