Strength United, a client of Another Source, is seeking an Associate Director of Intervention Services to become part of their Northridge, California team.
About the Position
Strength United is dedicated to converting experiences of trauma and violence into empowerment, fostering systemic healing, and cultivating leaders to drive enduring change.
This role reports directly to the Executive Director. The Associate Director will offer leadership, supervision, and strategic guidance for all clinical operations, guaranteeing the quality, regulatory adherence, and excellence of trauma-informed services. As a licensed practitioner, this individual will act in a deputy capacity in the Executive Director\'s absence and will be instrumental in shaping policies, designing programs, managing grants, and building community relationships.

Primary Duties
- Program Management: Supervise the daily clinical activities across all community locations of Strength United, ensuring all operations adhere to ethical, legal, and state standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and partners to achieve productivity and grant objectives.
- Program Design and Execution: Spearhead the creation, implementation, and compliance of direct service programs and student training at field sites, working in concert with the Executive Director.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Assess, update, and establish policies grounded in trauma-informed care, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles. Conduct staff evaluations, implement corrective measures, and manage performance as required.
- Data Management and Quality Control: Employ data-informed projections to track program efficacy, client results, and staff-to-client ratios. Devise and enact solutions for areas needing improvement.
- Financial and Grant Supervision: Collaborate with the Associate Director of Accounting and Payroll to ensure budgetary plans, staff assignments, and grant spending comply with funding stipulations. Assist in locating, crafting, and submitting grant and foundation applications.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-range strategic objectives and planning efforts for clinical service provision and organizational expansion.
- Staff Supervision and Assessment: Provide direct oversight to Clinical Program Managers and Supervisors, offering guidance, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations. Manage hiring, disciplinary proceedings, and professional development in partnership with Human Resources.
- Training and Representation: Act as an organizational representative in professional forums and conduct trainings or presentations when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution; possession of an active California license (Psychologist, LCSW, or LMFT) or the ability to attain one within a year if currently licensed in another state.
- Established leadership capabilities with one to two years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity; candidates from community, academic, or private practice backgrounds are welcome.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities, with the skill to interact productively with staff, funders, and community collaborators.
- Background or a pronounced interest in trauma-focused, equity-driven services consistent with the mission and principles of Strength United.
- An innovative and technologically proficient approach, with strategic vision, meticulousness, and the capacity to utilize data in guiding decisions.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working within diverse, multicultural settings and representing an organization through activities such as grant composition, public addresses, and partnership development.
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $105,000
Pre-Employment Conditions
- Background investigations at the County, State, and Federal levels
- Confirmation of an active California license (BBS or Psychology Board)

- Access to a dependable vehicle, a valid California driver\'s license, and evidence of insurance

Physical Demands and Workplace Setting
The role is mainly situated in an office environment with a moderate level of ambient sound. It involves consistent in-person, telephonic, and written exchanges with personnel, clients, and associates. There may be infrequent need to lift or adjust items weighing up to 20 pounds.
