POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is available to start right away.

The Preschool Chinese Teacher will oversee and manage a classroom of up to 12 children aged two through five. The candidate must be physically capable of guiding and engaging with children in games and activities, managing behavior that may require redirection, and assisting with daily curriculum and classroom upkeep. Delivering outstanding service to parents and maintaining consistent, daily communication with them is essential. This role begins as part-time but has the potential to transition into a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Takes a leading role in organizing the creative learning space, gathering necessary materials and supplies from diverse sources.
• Oversees activity areas in all types of weather and participates actively alongside the children.
• Offers guidance and leadership within the preschool environment.
• Records children\'s daily experiences, keeps precise attendance logs, and conducts ongoing observation and reporting.
• Motivates children to be involved in every activity.
• Shows a strong grasp of preschool developmental stages and offers individualized attention to each child.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of how to apply varied learning strategies tailored to individual students.
• Conducts assessments for both students and their parents.
• Supports and acts as a resource for fellow staff members, assisting with areas such as lesson planning, training sessions, and schedule coordination.
• Attends all required staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Recognizes the critical role of effective time management in the daily schedule.
• Maintains valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of all children through proper hygiene practices, constant supervision of children and surroundings, accident prevention, and prompt emergency response when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Native proficiency in Chinese is required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Must pass fingerprinting, criminal history, and child abuse background checks.
• Completion of the Mandated Reporter AB1207 online course is required.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory, along with either 6 or 12 units in Early Childhood Development courses and a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
• Must provide a doctor\'s clearance and current tuberculosis test results.
• CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Previous experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must possess the visual and auditory acuity to address critical situations and the physical capability to respond swiftly during emergencies.

Hours:

The schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must be adaptable, as hours may vary. This preschool operates year-round and serves children aged two to five.

Salary/Benefits:

Teacher salary is based on experience, ranging from $20 to $25 per hour. Benefits include sick days and the provision of organic fresh meals.
