Location: Yatichawi – Spanish Immersion Childcare & Preschool (Family Home Program)

Schedule: Part-time or Full-time (25 to 38 hours per week)

Hours: Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM (specific hours depend on enrollment and program requirements)

Start Date: Immediate

About Our Program

We are a Spanish Immersion Childcare and Preschool operating within a warm, home-based setting. Our mission is to create a supportive, imaginative, and stimulating environment where children can explore and grow through artistic, musical, playful, and cultural experiences.

The Role

We are seeking a Spanish-speaking Teacher or Assistant who has a genuine passion for early childhood education. The perfect fit for our team is caring, dependable, on time, diligent, calm, enthusiastic, and inventive—someone who finds joy in motivating children through activities like arts and crafts, dance, music, sports, and language development.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish—must communicate with children exclusively in Spanish.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 6 to 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
• Current certification in Infant and Adult CPR and First Aid.
• Clear TB test results.
• Completed fingerprint clearance via Livescan.
• Health and Safety Training certification.
• Mandated Reporter Certificate.
• Up-to-date immunizations for Measles, Pertussis, and Influenza.
• Covid-19 vaccination or recent negative test result.

(Note: If you lack CPR/First Aid, Health & Safety, or fingerprint clearance, we can provide support to cover the associated training costs.)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care and educational guidance to children.
• Support the planning and execution of weekly and monthly lesson plans and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation and service (breakfast, lunch, snacks) and subsequent cleanup.
• Ensure the classroom remains tidy and sanitary, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
• Help with diapering, toilet routines, and nap time supervision.
• Organize toys, books, and learning materials on a daily basis.
• Interact with children through play and conversation using only Spanish.

Compensation

Hourly wage will be determined based on the candidate\'s experience and credentials.
