We are seeking Life Skills Trainers and Instructors to support high-functioning individuals with developmental disabilities in the Los Angeles region. Candidates must be available to work Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The primary role involves instructing clients within their residences on fundamental home management skills. This includes establishing organizational systems, creating chore schedules, preparing simple meals, laundering and putting away clothing, and assisting with mail and documentation. Community-based instruction may involve comparative grocery shopping, completing errands, accompanying clients to medical appointments, engaging in walks or exercise, visiting shopping centers, and occasional trips to the cinema. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and genuinely dedicated to assisting others. Prior experience is advantageous, but we are prepared to train a suitable individual. You must possess a personal computer, a printer/scanner, and demonstrate proficiency in their use, as all documentation is handled digitally. Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver\'s license, and current automobile insurance are mandatory.
This position explicitly excludes personal care duties such as feeding, bathing, or dressing clients. The focus is exclusively on educational and training activities designed to foster client independence.

- Be at least 25 years of age.
- A college education is preferred.
- Reside within a 15-mile radius of Los Angeles, California.
- Demonstrate fluent English speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
- Possess robust writing, organizational, and time management skills.
- Own a computer, printer, scanner, and have internet access. Must be capable of scanning and emailing documents and competently complete, print, scan, and email paperwork twice monthly.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and responsible manner.
- Be available to work according to the client\'s schedule.
- Own a personal vehicle, be listed on its registration, maintain current auto insurance, and be willing to drive with mileage reimbursement.
- Hold a valid California driver\'s license.
- Possess a valid work permit and legal U.S. residency status.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Be CPR and First Aid certified or obtain certification within 30 days of hiring.
