YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • Proficiency in preparing local, state, and federal tax filings for a small business.
  • At least three years of professional accounting experience. (Preferred)
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the capability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse staff and departments across the organization.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online software is advantageous.
  • Practical experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications (assessment will be required).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Documents. (Preferred)
  • Ability to work 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
  • Background in a startup setting. (Preferred)
  • Strong analytical and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to undertake other assigned responsibilities.

YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:

  1. Post all financial transactions to the ledger using QuickBooks Online.
  2. Perform reconciliations for the general ledger, journal entries, and bank statements.
  3. Compile and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  4. Analyze monthly financial data and performance indicators to enhance cash flow and operational efficiency.
  5. Compare and assess annual budgets and cash flow projections against actual outcomes.
  6. Prepare and file annual and quarterly tax returns with city, county, state, and federal agencies.

Final compensation may differ based on individual experience, qualifications, performance on skills assessments, geographic location, and the seniority level of the position offered. For roles outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, pay may fall outside the stated range.
