We are recognized for our expertise in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense, personal injury, construction defect, and employment law. Our firm cultivates a supportive and cooperative environment. We are now looking for a Litigation Legal Secretary to assist the managing partner and other attorneys in our Woodland Hills office.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve a vital function by supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. Your meticulous nature, understanding of legal processes, and talent for handling multiple tasks will be key to advancing cases efficiently and with the highest standards.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials.
- Manage court filings, both electronic and physical, ensuring strict adherence to court rules and deadlines.
- Organize and maintain case files in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Coordinate schedules for court appearances, depositions, meetings, and attorney calendars.
- Draft standard legal correspondence and documents as directed by attorneys.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and external parties.
- Assist with trial preparation, which includes organizing exhibits and coordinating with witnesses.
- Handle all confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for a highly proficient legal professional with substantial litigation experience and a dedication to quality work.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a litigation legal secretary.
- Thorough knowledge of court rules, e-filing systems, and legal document preparation.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WordPerfect.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Legal Secretary Certificate or Paralegal Certification is preferred.

- Hourly Wage: $30 to $37, based on relevant experience.
