CNC Setup Technician – Specializing in Star CNC Machines (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Compensation: $24.00–$29.00 per hour, based on experience level.

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (W-2 Employee)

Experience Prerequisite: A minimum of three years of hands-on setup experience with Star CNC Swiss machines is mandatory.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Our company is a precision machining facility that provides components for the aerospace and general industrial fields. We are currently seeking a CNC Setup Technician who possesses specific, practical experience in configuring Star CNC Swiss-type lathes.

Candidates without direct setup experience on Star CNC equipment are requested not to apply.

This role is a W-2 employment opportunity, offered as either a full-time or part-time position. All necessary tools will be supplied.

Primary Duties:

• Configure and calibrate Star CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Load machine programs, make adjustments to tooling and offsets, and execute first-article production runs.
• Conduct quality inspections during the manufacturing process.
• Interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate effectively with machine operators and other team members.
• Ensure the work environment is kept tidy and well-organized.

Candidate Requirements:

• Three or more years of dedicated Star CNC machine setup experience is essential.
• Must possess knowledge of tooling, offsets, and standard inspection equipment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Must demonstrate reliability and the ability to work autonomously.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended durations.
• This is strictly a W-2 employee role; independent contractors will not be considered.
• Must have legal authorization to work within the United States.

Schedule and Location:

• Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Available as a full-time or part-time role (minimum of 20 hours per week).
• Position is based on-site in Bell Gardens, CA.
• All required tools are provided by the employer.
