Experienced Nightlife Door/Security Guard Needed for Bar in DTLA (Little Tokyo)

Our compact venue located in Little Tokyo is seeking a part-time door attendant, security guard, and host with prior experience. The required shifts are from approximately 8:00 or 9:00 PM until 2:00 or 3:00 AM, with specific days varying each week. Availability on weekends is essential.

Desired Qualifications

The perfect fit for this position will possess a background in nightlife or bar environments, be comfortable working late nights, and possess the ability to defuse tense situations with a composed and approachable demeanor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Welcoming patrons in a cordial and hospitable manner.
• Verifying identification documents.
• Ensuring a secure atmosphere within the premises.
• Remaining level-headed when interacting with inebriated individuals.
• Preventing entry to guests who are visibly excessively intoxicated.
• Conducting regular patrols throughout the bar to monitor guest activity and identify potential disturbances.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with other team members regarding any incidents.
