Position: Stage Manager (Backstage Crew)

We are seeking dynamic, detail-oriented, and passionate backstage specialists to become part of our touring production crew. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in live event settings, perform well in fast-paced situations, and derive satisfaction from ensuring seamless operations behind the curtain.

Each weekend brings new challenges and opportunities—you will play a key role in animating performances and delivering a fluid experience for both dancers and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event load-in and breakdown (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Install and secure Marley dance flooring
• Configure televisions, radios, iPods, and oversee the backstage application system
• Organize performers and manage performance schedules
• Cultivate and maintain positive interactions with studio representatives, directors, and clients
• Prepare the awards area and provide onstage support during ceremonies
• Ensure stage and backstage zones remain tidy, secure, and orderly
• Uphold professional radio contact with fellow team members
• Follow instructions from Event Directors and collaborate effectively
• Monitor and report on award inventory (items received and remaining)

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to remain composed and attentive in high-pressure scenarios
• Resourceful approach to problem-solving
• Collaborative spirit and solid dedication to work
• Ability to remain on feet for extended durations (typically 25–40 hours per weekend)
• Availability to travel from Thursday through Monday (with occasional Wednesday redeye travel)
• Possession of a valid government-issued ID or Passport
• Must be fully vaccinated or agree to supply weekly negative test results
• Previous experience with youth events or live production is beneficial
• Dance background is advantageous but not mandatory

Compensation

Pay varies with experience: $200 – $1000 per event

Hourly Rate: $16 – $18 per hour

Season Commencement: February 2026
