Position: Emcee

Previous hosting or audio experience is not necessary. Comprehensive paid training will be provided following the acceptance of an official offer letter.

Serving as a KAR Emcee involves infusing each event with vibrant energy, structure, and charm. We seek flexible, passionate individuals who thrive in a team, enjoy traveling, interacting with children and families, and ensuring our events are enjoyable and operate efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who is dynamic, detail-oriented, and loves being the engaging voice on stage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the load-in and breakdown of event equipment.
• Configure and test all audio gear; conduct microphone sound checks.
• Announce performances and interact energetically with dancers and the audience.
• Manage audio board levels for microphones, tablets, and computers.
• Uphold the event timeline to ensure smooth transitions.
• Promote tour merchandise during intermissions.
• Maintain clear communication with team members using radio equipment.
• Travel is required, typically from Thursday evening through Monday morning.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of performing under pressure and resolving technical problems.
• Committed team member with a constructive outlook.
• Touring or broadcast background is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to remain seated for extended durations (averaging 30 to 60 hours per weekend).
• Must have availability to travel from Thursday to Monday.
• Must possess a valid government-issued ID or Passport.

Compensation

Pay varies with experience: $200 to $1000 per event.

Hourly Rate: $16 to $18 per hour.

The season commences in February 2026.
