Free Rent and Free Training for an In-Home Intern (Los Angeles, CA)
About This Job
We are a couple living in a luxurious penthouse in a downtown high-rise at 960 W. 7th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017. We operate a respected mortgage company and are seeking an individual interested in learning the processes of mortgage loan processing and closing. Our firm is named Smart Choice Realty and Mortgage Finance, Inc., and we have been operating since 2019. Our office is situated within our stunning top-floor penthouse, so we prefer candidates who live very nearby, as training will be conducted on-site at our residence.
A Brief Introduction
Harold is a skilled mortgage loan specialist. He graduated with honors from ASU and has spent the last 19 years building his career in the mortgage and real estate industry. He is 48 years old and a father of four grown children. In 2019, he met Jasmine, who is 37. She was initially hired as an executive assistant but is now a licensed broker and CEO. Together, we have ambitious goals to build a monthly revenue of $100,000 or more.
Our Requirements
We would prefer a candidate who already holds a real estate license, though this is not mandatory. For the right person, we are willing to assist in obtaining a real estate or broker’s license, as well as an NMLS license.
We are looking for an intern. This person should either live nearby or be open to living with us. After you learn our processes and we help you become licensed, we can discuss a formal position within our firm.
Your licensing costs, room, and board will be covered, and we will pay all related expenses.
We seek someone who is adaptable, eager to learn, a fast typist, detail-oriented, articulate, and hardworking. Some college education is a plus. We are not looking for someone who is just seeking a paycheck, but rather an individual who wants to grow with us and share in the profits we generate together. If you are currently employed, that may work initially as you learn our specific loan closing methods. However, if the arrangement proves mutually beneficial, we would eventually prefer someone fully committed. We hope to find a person without too many external obligations, as we aim to grow into a productive, excellent team—and potentially a close-knit, family-like group. If you apply, please be prepared to meet with us. If a meeting is scheduled, we expect you to honor that appointment; we value individuals who take pride in keeping their word and being punctual.
Application Process
If interested, we would like to conduct an interview over brunch or dinner. Since we are looking for someone to learn mortgage loan closing and potentially live with us as a housemate, we want the interview to be casual and comfortable, allowing us to gauge mutual compatibility. Please send your resume and several photographs of yourself to harold@smartchoicerealtyinc.com. Also, please indicate whether you hold a real estate license or any other relevant licenses and experience. PLEASE TEXT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS AND RESUME DIRECTLY TO 9096317107. WE PREFER TO INITIATE CONTACT VIA TEXT OR EMAIL, SO PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR PICTURE.
Additionally, please ensure you agree to a meeting time that is genuinely convenient for you to avoid rescheduling or last-minute cancellations. We typically meet in the evenings around 7 PM on any day of the week. Please note that arriving 10–15 minutes early is considered on time.
Meetings will be held either at Spire-73 or in the top-floor amenity space open to the public at our DTLA building.
Compensation
If hired, your pay will correspond with your experience and the value you bring. As we collectively generate $80,000 to $100,000 per month, this will be divided according to a pre-disclosed structure, which will be determined immediately upon hiring. As an intern, you will have your licensing and expenses covered. Once licensed, you have the potential to earn $50,000 to $100,000 per month. We are not interested in candidates seeking temporary work; we hope to find someone eager to learn and potentially build an amazing life and career with us.
